Modified Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I to X

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 1 was introduced in 1992 and used the 4G63T turbocharged inline-4 engine and 4WD from the Galant VR-4.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 2 was introduced in 1995 consisted of handling improvement such as wider wheelbase, stronger swaybars and big bodykit.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 3 was introduced in 1995 year with aggresive looks. Big front bodykit with air scoop to direct cold air into engine and big spoiler to improve handlings.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4 was completely changed in 1996 with new featured Active Yaw Control introduced in GSR model that uses an active differential to transfer torque to the wheels that have best grip on the road.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5 was introduced in January 1998 with 276 hp at 6500 rpm. New featured such as bigger injectors, bigger rims, bigger master cylinder brake and uses Brembo brake. It is also include a flash ROM ECU.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 was introduced which emphasis on engine cooling and durability, larger intercooler, larger oil cooler and new pistons design.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6.5 Tommi Makinen edition named after Finnish rally driver Tommi Makinen that had won Mitsubishi 4 times WRC championship.

In 2001, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7 was launched with a new effective limited-slip differential and active centre differential. At the same time, a front helical a limited-slip differential was added.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 was introduced in year 2003 with Super Active Yaw Control to handle traction and a 6-speed manual gearbox is included.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 MR version uses Bilstein shocks for improved handling. Meanwhile, aluminium roof panel and other reductions in body weight have lowered the centre of gravity to improve handling and performance.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 with MIVEC technology was introduced in 2005. A re-designed front end with more efficient air dam and a rear bumper with diffuser underneath for better handling.

The new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X was introduced in 2007 with 2.0 liter all-aluminium inline-4 4B11T engine features with 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST) technology.
